Easton : Steering Stabilizer Mount

I was commissioned by Easton to design an under-the-bar steering stabilizer mount for their new EXP handlebars. Working with Chuck Teixeira (Easton’s Diretor of Engineering), I designed a stabilizer mount that met the project requirements and exceeded their expectations by a wide margin. Most stabilizer mounts are bike-specific; meaning that companies have to design, manufacture, and inventory a multitude of different stabilizer mounts. In contrast, the solution I came up with allows one part number to fit almost every conceivable application. The secret is in the double-stacked eccentric cams, which are oriented in a way that allows for the width and offset to be adjusted independently. Patents Pending.
